Dear Fellow Texan:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” The Declaration of Independence.
These words describe the majesty, the miracle, and the dream of our America, but is this the America we currently have?
Are the opportunities for succeeding and achieving the “American Dream” out of reach for a large number of Americans, and is our current government governing with our consent?
I believe the “American Dream” remains achievable, and I believe Washington, D.C. can be made to hear our voices, but we must alter our nation’s course, before we lose the ability to do so.

Hello, my name is Dale Brueggemann, and I am seeking to represent the Texas 15th Congressional District. As a family man and a small businessman for almost 30 years, I have watched our nation’s politicians create more and more barriers to success, whether that success be in our livelihoods, or our personal lives. Our hopes and dreams are now regulated and our own American indomitable spirit is being stifled. History shows that America was not built into the greatest nation in the world under these conditions, and if we fail to return to our principles of ingenuity, hard work, family values, freedom from unnecessary governmental meddling, and common sense, we will soon lose our status as the leader of the “free world” and any chance to truly realize the American Dream.
I am not from the same mold as so many others who run for elected office– I am not a politician, have never wanted to be a politician, and I have never ran for any elected office in my life.
Over the years, though, I have observed our representatives in Washington, and I am convinced that the majority of them are out of touch with their constituents and the nation’s most pressing issues. Our country finds itself in a critical position, with immense challenges that require common sense solutions and an absolute willingness to place the good of all citizens first, regardless of what may be convenient or thought to be politically correct by career politicians in order to appease small but vocal special interest groups.

As I travel throughout this district, I find many citizens who are distressed by the lack of leadership in Washington and the continuous inability to reach any consensus for finding solutions to the nation’s serious problems. Too many politicians in Washington prefer to bicker and repeatedly blame the other side with the end result of no solutions being found or implemented. This failure to represent our nation’s interests is not what we, the citizens, made a bargain for. It is wrong, and those responsible should be recalled from Washington.

I can absolutely guarantee I am an independent candidate with no special interest ties or political party mandates. I will work hard and will listen to my constituents to initiate the difficult but necessary decisions that must be made. As a small businessman who has made a payroll for many years, I have faced countless challenges and difficult decisions. I am ready for the challenges of Washington as well. I humbly request your support, and let’s move our country forward to what more closely resembles our “American Dream.”
